Mount St. Helens before and after eruption.
I became acquainted with Mt. St. Helens, while living in Centralia, Washington in the years 1976 through 1978. My employment was with Weyerhaeuser Forestry Research. On weekends I explored the southern Washington Cascades. My familiarity with Mt. St. Helens led to an assignment with National Geographic Magazine in 1980. I have been back a few times since.
